The Super Aqua Perfect Water Deep Cleanser is a very strange product to me. I like it a lot because it is excellent at removing my makeup. What’s strange to me is the feeling that it leaves on my skin for the first 15 minutes after I remove my make-up with it. But first things first.

Claims from the manufacturer:

❇ Purifying water cleanser with pure mineral water and moist cleansing ingredients to help remove impurities and heavy makeup.
❇ Super Aqua basic cleansing series is formulated with Active Water System to help maintain skin healthy moisture balance.
❇ Contains natural botanical moist cleansing ingredients, such as Soapberry Extract and Soapwort Extract, to cleanse even heavy makeup.
❇ Mineral Water and Aloe Vera Leaf Water provide soothing and moisturizing benefits to keep skin moisturized and healthy after cleansing.

Directions from the manufacturer:

Turn pump to the right to open. Pump 3-4 times over cotton puff and cleanse face following skin texture. After removing makeup, rinse with lukewarm water or apply cleansing foam as needed.

Ingredients:

Water (Aqua), PEG-6 Caprylic/Capric Glycerides, Glycerin, PEG-7 Glyceryl Cocoate, Sodium Cocoyl Apple Amino Acids, Pentylene Glycol, Sapindus Mukurossi Fruit Extract, Sea Water, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Water, Mesembryanthemum Crystallinum Extract, Portulaca Oleracea Extract, Yucca Vera Extract, Saponaria Officinalis Leaf Extract, Nelumbo Nucifera Flower Extract, Prunus Mume Fruit Extract, Carylyl Glycol, Hexylene Glycol, Butylene Glycol, 1,2-Hexanediol, Lactic Acid, Citric Acid, Disodium EDTA

My experience:

I love the packaging of this cleanser. It has the press-down pump system that dispenses the cleansing liquid straight onto my cotton pad. Cleansing liquid is clear and has a slight marine/beach-like fragrance to it. The scent is not offensive or strong. It doesn’t stay on my face after my make-up is gone.

After pushing the press-down pump 2-3 times my cotton pad has always enough liquid to cleanse my entire face including removing my eye make up. To compare, with my Lancaster Express Cleanser I usually use 3-4 pumps of the product for the same make-up surface.

Back to the strange part. After my make-up is wiped off I am left with what feels oily texture on my skin (it happened to me before with other products and I always had to wash my face with a foamy cleanser afterwards to achieve the “clean clean” face because the oil film remain on my face). This time the oiliness has disappeared completely within 15 minutes and I was left with very smooth and hydrated face.

I don’t know what ingredients caused this effect on me but I do like it. It feels like this cleanser, past it’s “oily feel” phase is a toner and a very good one. I have experimented with this on the days when my skin was red and dry and I was surprised at how good it was at calming it down and at hydrating something that felt initially like papyrys! I didn’t make up my mind whether I will repurchase it or not, but something inside me tells me that I most probably will 🙂
