Today I am reviewing the 2nd hydrogel sheet mask from the brand MISSHA which is the Vital-bomb embo gel mask.
Claims from the manufacturer:
Gel Masks with embossed surface.
Special care for their dry and fatigued skin.
No mesh type of transparent hydro gel is adhered to the skin without irritating and delivers active substances perfectly into your skin.
Containing Multi Vita Complex and Vital Complex which consists of Grapefruit Extract, it makes your skin vitalized.
Directions from the manufacturer:
After washing the face, prepare the skin with toner. Remove films from the both side of sheets after opening the pouch. Placing the embo side onto the skin, spread evenly the upper part from the eyes and the lower part from the lips. Leave it for 20-40 minutes and remove masks. Pat leftover essence lightly to be fully absorbed.
Water, Glycerin, Butylene Glycol, Agar, Carrageenan, Mannan, Dextrin, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Xanthan Gum, Disodium EDTA, Betaine, Allantoin, Panthenol, Citrus Paradisi (Grapefruit) Fruit Extract, Centelia Asiatica Extract, Scutellaria Baicalensis Root Extract Polygonium Cuspidatum Root Extract, Glycyrrhiza Glabra (Litorice) Root Extact, Camellia Sinsensis Leaf Extract, Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Leaf Extract, Chamomillia Recutita (Matricaria) Flower Extract, Potassium Chloride, Sodium Dehydroacetate, Sodium Polyacrylate, PEG-60 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Gaprylyl Glycol, 1,2-Hexanediol, Ethylhyxylglycerin, Phenoxyethanol, Fragrance
The mask itself is translucent and has one side that is smooth and the other side is ribbed or as they say – embossed. Each mask from this series is made of the same material. I took the mask out of it’s pack and removed the safety film preventing the folded sides of the mask from sticking to one another. I applied both halves of the mask with the embossed side onto my face. To me this mask felt more fragranced than the Nourishing-bomb. I immediately smelled the licorice in it (one ingredient in the entire perfume industry that I truly dislike). If you like the scent of citrus and licorice, this one is definitely for you!
I kept the sheet on for approximately 30 minutes. By the end of the wearing time my skin felt cooled down and I felt that my skin was getting tighter on my cheeks. After removing the mask off my face and waiting for the essence to fully absorb my face was yet again super-smooth and well hydrated. I’ve noticed that my pores in the T-zone got visually smaller and my skin was more bouncy than before I did the mask. There was no sticky residue left on my skin. Since today was a sunny day I just put on my 50 SPF sunscreen and mascara on. By the end of the day my pores were back to their normal size but my skin was still as bouncy and hydrated as after applying the Vital-bomb mask in the morning hours.
Same as the Nourishing-bomb, the Vital-bomb preformed well on me. The biggest results for me were the long-term hydration and plumping effect of this mask. On the downside I am not so fond of the fragrance on this one. We’ll see what other 3 masks will bring. In the end of the series, in my 5th post I will let you know which one(s) is my favorite from the entire line.
+ Paraben, sulfate and alcohol free formula
+ Extremely good fit due to 2 parts of the mask
+ Remarkable adherence to the face-no need to lay down with this one, it adheres better to the face the longer it’s on
+ Hydrating and plumping effect on my skin that lasts me all day
+ Smooths down the imperfections in dry areas of the skin
+ No sticky residue left after removing the mask
+ Fragrance is the last ingredient on the list
– Still more pricy than the regular cotton/bamboo sheet mask
– Contains fragrance if you are sensitive to it
– I personally don’t like the scent of this mask that much
Thank you for reading!
Yours truly, Kati ?
