My experience:
it looks like there is only essence inside

This mask is made of something that I’ve never  ever seen before in other sheet masks. The consistency of the hydrogel is less dense making it very fragile yet most effective masks in my entire experience of masking. I’ve fell in love with the toner from this brand and I’ve decided to expand my horizons towards the masks as they did seem to deliver good results for other people.

First of all, the scent of all of the Whamisa hydrogel masks are heavenly. This particular Organic Seeds & Rice Fermented Hydrogel Mask had the mildest fragrance of all three. The ingredient list is the bomb! Everything is natural and organic and EWG certified. Of course there is a huge price tag attached to the “all organic” tag but it is wort it to at least try the mask once in your life to see how well it performs. I slipped my whishlist note to my Santa already and these are on the nr 1 place in the list for coming Christmas.

contents

The hydrogel itself is very translucent and has the same color as the essence. It is a 2-part mask which ensures a great fit for every face shape. To me it felt like the forehead area could be a bit longer because there was approximately 2 cm stripe of uncovered skin left. I could live with that but some of you may not like it so much. It is a lot of money to pay and you do expect great fitting product.

Application time was 40 minutes for me! Very impressive and I felt like this mask could still be left on for another 10 or so minutes easily. My skin was left calmed down, it was seemingly brighter and felt super soft to the touch. I didn’t feel like there was need for more moisture but just in case I’ve applied my Whamisa lotion to pack all the goodness under a protective layer. The best changes in my skin appeared the next day. I’ve produced very little oil through-ought the day and I’ve gotten tons of compliments that I looked very glowy. I agree, I was glowy from within rather than from the surface oils. Very pleasant experience.

ADORLÉE Lavender Brightening Restorative Firming Mask

ADORLÉE Lavender Brightening Restorative Firming Mask is a sheet mask that blew my mind off in terms of amazing skin calming and plumping results. The scent of this one is also incredibly pleasant and relaxing.

❇ Lavender oil: detoxifies skin, helps to treat acne, recovers damaged skin cells.
❇ Bamboo extract: improves skin’s moisture retention, contains high amount natural silica which plays a key role in improving elasticity, achieving the healthy skin look.
❇ Hyaluronic acid: hydrates skin, absorbs water, nourishes skin particles.

Directions from the manufacturer:

Cleanse face thoroughly and pat dry. Apply mask gently onto face and smoothen out the edges lightly with fingertips. Leave on for 15-20 mins.
Remove and gently massage the remaining essence from package into skin.
Do not rinse after use.

Ingredients:

Water, Propylene Glycol, Glycerin, PEG/PPG-17/6 Copolymer, Panthenol, Taurine, Beta-Glucan, Caprylhydroxamic Acid, Propanediol, Allantoin, Jojoba Wax PEG-120 Esters, Alpha-Bisabolol, Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Bambusa Textilis Stem Extract, Phenoxyethanol, Disodium EDTA, Glyceryl Caprylate, Xanthan Gum, Sodium Hyaluronate, Hydroxyethylcellulose, PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, PPG-26-Buteth-26, Potassium Hydroxide, Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Oil

My experience:

This sheet mask was a random buy during one of the visits to the local TKmaxx shop. It was just hanging there so lonely on the rack that I thought “I’ll give you a try, darling”. This particular mask came in a multi-pack of 6 that i am very excited about.

The packaging of the mask is very minimal. Too minimal I would say. I have to keep the original box otherwise I won’t know what’s in the sachet. The sheet of this mask comes with a plastic protection layer so that it applies better onto the skin. It is quite handy to have the protector as the mask fabric is very light and thin. It went on effortlessly and stayed put on my face for 25 minutes!!!! YES! I could manage wearing it for so long in 33ºC heat without it drying out.

The scent on this mask is very strong. It smells exactly the same as my  aromatherapy oils that I use in bath. It is not artificial or clingy to my nose and disappears fast after the mask is off my face. I checked my skin 10 minutes after I removed the mask. It was glowing!!! there was not oily type of glow, it was radiant from within. The red spots that I have on my cheeks from time to time were gone. I felt that my skin was very plumped and hydrated. I didn’t care for any moisturizer after I did this mask and went to bed. The results were still there the next morning. I was so impressed by it that I went back to the store and got myself another pack of this mask.

Summary:

Pros:
+ Paraben, Sulfate and Alcohol free formilation
+ Contains skin brightening ingredients
+ Great lavender scent
+ Great fit and adherence
+ Great essence that feels very light and is not sticky at all
+ Excellent at hydrating and calming my skin down

Cons:
– Lack of information on the packaging of the mask itself
– Hard to buy it online

Where to buy:
❇  NL and BE: TKmaxx shops
❇  Internationally: Available at adorlee, bestbuy and amazon
❇  Price is 35€ for the 6-pack

As much as I dislike regular honey sheet masks I fell in love with this beauty. It has a serum with consistency that I’ve never encountered before. It is opaque and ha  a yellow-beige tint to it and it is very watery and light. The texture of it has plenty of slip on the skin so it is very gentle and absorbs almost entirely into my skin leaving very little to no residue afterwards.

The essence is scented and has a floral-honey scent to it which is very mild and disappears soon after application. The fit and adherence of the mask are excellent as with nearly all MISSHA products. What  stands out for this particular mask is how soft it actually is. The sheet is made of the bamboo fiber and is super silky and gentle on my skin. Beware essence may drip down your chin a bit in the first couple of minutes!

applied

Since the essence is very concentrated and feels on the heavier side, it gave me 30 minutes of wearing time. And to be honest I didn’t mind it at all because the sensation that this mask left on my skin was glorious!  I felt that my skin was hydrated to the max. It felt nourished, looked brighter and smoother. My face looked instantly energized! Overall amazing results that lasted me till the next day. The finish on the skin was bit shiny but it was not oily or sticky to the touch. Very unique experience with this one. Will I buy it again? Yes!!!!

Summary:

Pros:
+ Contains Adenosine, Niacinamide and many more skin benefiting ingredients
+ Rich in natural herbal oils and extracts
+ No sticky residue left on the face
+ Great hydrating and smoothing results on my skin
+ Pleasantly scented essence, plenty of it left in the bag
+ Amazingly soft sheet of the mask

Cons:
– Steep’ish price
– Essence is on the runny side
– Fit of the sheet is on the smaller side

MISA Cho Gong Jin Peel Off Pack

MISA is a separate line of care products designed by MISSHA. It  includes five series: Cho Gong Jin, Geum Sul, Cho Bo Yang, Yu Ryeo and Yei Hyun. Today’s review is about the famous Cho Gong Jin Peel Off Pack.

Herbal powders and honey eliminate dead skin cells and other impurities

– Those looking to soothe red, inflamed skin

Directions from the manufacturer:

After cleansing and toning, apply an even layer of product onto skin, being careful to avoid contact with the eyes. After 20-30 minutes, or when the mask has dried, carefully peel off and wipe face with toner before continuing with skincare routine.

TIP: Apply an even layer of product to achieve peel off removal. In the event that you are unable to peel off the mask, use additional product for a thicker application.

Ingredients:

Water, Polyvinyl Alcohol, Ethanol, Polygonatum Officinale Rhizome/Root Extract, Butylene Glycol, Glycerin, PEG-32, Velvet Extract, Cornus Officinalis Fruit Extract, Paeonia Lactiflora Bark/Sap Extract, Panax Ginseng Powder, Saccharomyces/Coix Lacryma-Jobi Ma-Yuen Seed Ferment Filtrate, Thymus Vulgaris (Thyme ) Flower/Leaf Extract, Buddleja Davidii Extract, Astragalus Membranaceus Root Extract, Ganoderma Lucidum (Mushroom) Extract, Angelica Gigas Root Extract, Vitis Vinifera (Grape) Fruit Extract, Zanthoxylum Piperitum Fruit Extract, Polygonum Cuspidatum Root Extract, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract, Castanea Crenata Shell Extract, Coffea Arabica (Coffee) Seed Extract, Carthamus Tinctorius (Safflower) Flower Extract, Diospyros Kaki Leaf Extract, Acetyl Tyrosine, Paeonia Suffruticosa Root Extract, Pueraria Root Extract, Honey Extract, Panax Ginseng Root Extract, Poria Cocos Extract, Rehmannia Chinensis Root Extract, Gold, PEG-60 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Cellulose Gum, Allantoin, Panthenol, Sodium Hyaluronate, Sodium Magnesium Silicate, Disodium EDTA, Phenoxyethanol, Fragrance(Parfum)

My experience:

This specific mask is not harsh for your skin. In comparison to the black peel off masks that remove the dirt from the pores, this is thousand time better product. It is similar to a wax layer that is gentle to your skin and still manages to pull out a lot of dirt and grime off my face. It is packed with a lot of fermented herbal ingredients.  You can literally smell the ginseng and honey. The scent is very strong and earthy. A true luxury item in terms of ingredients.

I try to use it once a week and it does wonders to my oily skin. The consistency of it is a dark-brown goo with trillions of specks of dried herbs in it. It is semi-thick and spreads well over your face. I usually apply it with my fingers and wait for about 20 minutes for it to completely dry. Even a thin layer does a good job and it peels off with ease in 1 piece. I tried doing a thicker layer once but the drying time turned to be very long. When removing the mask there is no pulling or tugging on my baby hairs on the face which is very surprising considering the fact that this is a peel off pack. I think this is the first mask that I’ve tried that manages not to hurt my face in the removal process.

I prefer to use it before applying my make up. I removes the dead skin cells leaving me with much smoother and brighter skin. I wish it would come in the small mini-tube so that I could take it to vacations with me.  Oh, and the packaging on it is amazing. Thanks to the large cap it can be easily stored vertically on my vanity.

Pros:
+ Paraben, Sulfate and Alcohol free formula
+ Contins velvet and Honey extraxts
+ Bomb of herbal ingredients
+ Amazing texture and scent
+ Peels off in one piece
+ Doesn’t irritate the skin
+ Suitable for all skin types

Cons:
– Seems to be sold out a lot

It’s skin Caviar Double Effect Mask Sheet

The It’s Skin Caviar Double Effect Mask Sheet is an anti-aging mask with high concentrations of Caviar extract to improve skin’s elasticity. It is a part of an entire Caviar Double Effect skin series with a bunch of products such as toners, emulsion, serum e.t.c.

Claims from the manufacturer:

❇ A soft texture mask sheet contain highly concentrated caviar extract that gives your skin plentiful nutrition and extra elasticity.

Directions from the manufacturer:

Remove film and apply mask on cleansed face. Leave on for 15 to 20 minutes then remove gently. Do not rinse. Pat the remaining serum into the skin until fully absorbed.

Ingredients:

Water, Glycerin, Butylene Glycol, Niacinamide, Caviar Extract, Portulaca Oleracea Extract, Oryza Sativa (Rice) Extract, Morus Alba Bark Extract, Adenosine, Xanthan Gum, Carbomer, Propylene Glycol, Polysorbate 80, Pearl Powder, Triethanolamine, Disodium EDTA, 1,2-Hexanediol, Ethylhexylglycerin, Chlorphenesin, Phenoxyethanol, Fragrance

My experience:

I stumbled across this mask when I was surfing the internet for some anti-agind sheet masks. I fell in love with it’s price and the packaging so it went into my shopping basket without a question. Now that I’ve used it I can tell you, me myself and I was not disappointed in my decision to buy this great mask.

First of all, to put all the rumors at bay, it does not smell like fish or caviar or anything like that. It has a pleasant smell that I can only relate to the berry category. Something between grapes and blueberries. The essence of this mask is very watery and fully transparant. And there is plenty of it left in the bag to use it on the neck, décolleage and the dry spots on my elbows.

The sheet is made of white semi-thick cotton and has 7 additional cutouts for the better fit on to the face. TO be honest it was too much but they are necessary as the sheet is not stretchy nor flexible which otherwise would make the application process more difficult. The adherence of the sheet is excellent. I was able to talk and smile an nothing moved or came loose.

I have experiences a  slight tingling sensation once I applied the mask. It disappeared in 5 minutes. I don’t meet many masks with the same light tingling. It is usually none (even though claimed by the manufacturer) or “burn, baby, burn” kind when you least expect it. After full 20 minutes on my face I removed the sheet and saw that my face was visibly brighter. The texture of my pores on my cheeks subsided and they were nearly invisible. My skin around my wrinkle areas was looking fresh, perky and plump. So this mask does what it promises 100%. I presume that with consistent use I would actually shed some years in my overall appearance.  Would I buy it again? YES!

Pros:
+ One of the cleanest ingredients list I’ve ever seen in mask
+ Alcohol, paraben, sulfate and silicone free formula
+ Rich in skin brightening and anti-aging ingredients
+ Lovely berry-like scent
+ Good adherence of the sheet
+ Great results on my skin

Cons:
– Quality of the sheet could be a bit more luxurious
– “So-so” fit of the sheet on my face frame
– Contains fragrance

Where to buy:
❇ NL and BE: littlewonderland. nl
❇ Internationally: Available at yesstyle and ebay
❇ Price is 1,50-2,95 € per sheet

Pumpkin mask (Soothing + Brightening) by BLING POP

A while ago I have stumbled across this sheet mask on the bol.com and wanted to try it out because so far there were no pumpkin masks in my arsenal. Pumpkin mask by BLING POP looked like a good way to expand my masking horizons.

Claims from the manufacturer:

❇ Contained pumpkin extract  that helps to reveal skin to looks smoother, younger, radiant and revitalized.

(Could grammar be any better on the packaging….)

Directions from the manufacturer:

Smooth the skin texture with a toner after washing face. Apply mask onto face, smoothing and spreading evenly onto facial contours. Remove the mask after 15-20 minutes. Gently massage any excess essence into the skin.

Ingredients:

Water, Glycerin, Methylpropanediol, Cucurbita Pepo (Pumpkin) Fruit Extract, Paeonia Lactiflora Root Extract, Convallaria Majalis Bulb/Root Extract, Magnolia Kobus Branch/Flower/Leaf Extract, Lilium Candidum Flower Extract, Ipomoea Purpurea Extract, Butylene Glycol, 1,2-Hexanediol, Polysorbate 80, Ethylhexylglycerin, Xanthan Gum, Disodium EDTA, Tocopheryl Acetate (Vitamin E), Arginine, Sodium Hyaluronate, Fragrance, Phenoxyethanol

My experience:

I’ve officially tried it all :))) At least I think I did. Tomato, potato, snail mucin, kelp, seaweed, bean, beet, carrot, you name it. Been there, done that! Only the pumpkin mask was left on my botanical “to do (mask) list”.

I stumbled across the bling pop mask on the bol.com and was wondering whether to try it or not. Guess what I’ve decided? The pumpkin mask comes in the bright colorful girly packaging which catches the eye even across the room. Upon opening the pack, there is a slight flowery-fruity scent that is somewhat strong but after 10 minutes you don’t notice it anymore. The sheet is made of thick cotton which is surprisingly soft.

Application of the sheet was easy-breezy. I was left with some extra folds here and there but it staid on my face the entire 15 minutes that I was cooking pasta. Once I removed the sheet there was some essence left on my skin which felt slightly oily. The second thing I noticed was that my skin felt tighter and firmer.

I can not say anything about the smoothing and brightening since it was too dark and my skin was in pretty good condition that day. It did feel hydrated, but not too much. Since I applied this mask late in the evening I didn’t mind the oily’ish feel and just put my night serum over it for extra conditioning of my skin. This sheet mask did not break me out.

Pros:
+ Alcohol, sulfate and paraben free formula
+ Contains vitamine E and flower extracts
+ Suitable for oily, combination, normal and dry skin types
+ Clean fruity-flowery fragrance
+ Hydrating and plumping on my skin
+ Good fit of the sheet on my face

Cons:
– Contains fragrance
– Careful if you have sensitive skin, may irritate you
– Price differences per sheet mask are very big

Where to buy:
❇ NL and BE: Available at bol.com
❇ Internationally: Available at cosmetica-fanatica and dorasommer
❇ Price varies between 3-8€ per sheet

Skinfood Real Tea Gel Mask Lavender

Claims from the manufacturer:

❇A real flower tea gel mask containing lavender petal powder and lavender flower extract that moisturizes skin and promotes relaxation.

❇ Lavender is excellent for sterilization, antiseptic, and relaxing purposes. The mask also contains peppermint, chamomile, and rosemary leaves.

Directions from the manufacturer:

Extract mask and tightly apply on facial skin, following the contours of your face. After about 10-15 minutes, remove the sheet and pat face to absorb the remaining essence. Apply any remaining essence in the pouch to your neck and body.

Ingredients:

Water, Glycerin, Butylene Glycol, Niacinamide, Ceratonia Siliqua Gum, Chondrus Crispus (Carrageenan) Extract, Scutellaria Baicalensis Root Extract, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract, Artemisia Princeps Leaf Extract, Houttuynia Cordata Extract, 1,2- Hexanediol, Caprylyl Glycol, Glycerin, Citrus Junos Fruit Extract, Lactobacillus Ferment, Ricimus Communis (Castor) Seed Oil, Phenoxyethanol, Peg-60 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Flower Powder, Mentha Piperita (Peppermint) Leaf Extract, Anthemis Nobilis Flower Extract, Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Leaf Extract, Butylene Glycol, Phenoxyethanol, Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Flower Extract, Butylene Glycol, Phenoxyethanol, Phenyl Trimethicone, Allantoin, Ethylhexylglycerin, Adenosine, Disodium Edta, Fragrance, Water, Potassium Hydroxide

My experience:

The Real Tea Gel Mask Lavender by Skinfood brand is one of those masks that contains pieces of the shredded plant in the gel. I like it a lot but it is great not only because it looks nice but because it does something amazing to my skin!

The sheet of this mask is  made of hydrogel, mesh and plant particles and is soaked in a lot of essence that has light tea brew color to it. The essence is completely transparent, runny and smells of lavender. The scent of this is heavenly. I do not appreciate lavender in body products but when it comes to the skin care I like it a lot. The hydrogel is protected by 2 layers of plastic,  transparent and white ones. The mask is split into 2 pieces for the bottom and top parts of the face.

The fit of the sheet is good for my face frame. You see it very often that the hydrogel masks are nearly always fitting any type of the face better than a regular cotton or felt fabric sheet. I usually apply the bottom piece first so that the top part will overlap it preventing it from sliding down my face. Overall the way this mask is cut reminds me of the MISSHA Super Aqua Cell Renew Snail Hydro Gel.

Once the mask is on my face it tends to move around for first 5 minutes but then it adheres and I can not even move it with my fingers until the time I have to peel it off my face. The average wear time with this one is 20-30 minutes. After that the edges start drying out and poke the already sensitive skin under my eyes. Once the mask is off I am left with baby smooth skin witha trace of stickiness. This disappears after 20 minutes and my skin is looking glowy, radiant and brightened. The texture spots are as good as gone. I do not have any need to hydrate my face but I still apply my moisturizer over my face. Overall a great mask to have for those days when your skin is dry and dull. This one definitely saves the day!

Pros:
+ Paraben, Sulfate and Alcohol free
+ Contains Niacinamide and Lactobacillus Ferment
+ Amazing fragrance
+ Pleasant fit and adherence of the sheet
+ Great at brightening and hydrating skin
+ Evens out skin tone and calm irritated spots
+ Good for all skin types
+ Cruelty free

Cons:
– Contains fragrance
– Has a mesh layer that sometimes irritates my skin (around the edges of the mask)
– Runny essence

Where to buy:
❇ NL and BE: boozyshop.nl
❇ Internationally: Available at skinfood, sokoglam, amazon and many other webshops
❇ Price is 4,95€ per sheet at Boozyshop

MISSHA Super Aqua Pore-Kling Bubble Sheet mask

I do use a lot of MISSHA products because they are easiest to get and do well on my skin. Over time I’ve discovered that their products have a lot of hidden functions in them. This review is about one of them, my most favorite masks of all times from this brand is the Pore-Kling Bubble sheet mask.

Claims from the manufacturer:
❇ 1. Micro-bubbles provide total pore care
Fine bubble carbonation leaves pores feeling clean and refreshed and also improves elasticity
❇ 2. Like a glass of sparkling water for the skin
Sparkling water from Naples, enriched with minerals such as calcium and potassium, moisturizes and revitalizes skin
❇ 3. Formulated with Patented Technology
CO2 is supplied to the skin through a process that purifies it and improves its overall health.
❇ You are likely to experience a bubbling sensation during use. Tingling sensation produces dramatic results!
Directions from the manufacturer:
After cleansing, prep skin with toner and apply Step 1 (CO2 Pore Gel) all over the face, avoiding the eye area. Apply Step 2 (CO2 Pore Mask) over Step 1 (CO2 Pore Gel), and lightly press to help skin absorb product. After 10-20 minutes, remove the mask and any excess gel. Rinse well with lukewarm water.
Ingredients:

Pore Gel:
Water, Glycerin, Methylpropanediol, Niacinamide, Cellulose Gum, PotassiumAlginate, Citrus Paradisi (Grapefruit) Fruit Extract, Citrus Aurantifolia (Lime) Fruit Extract, Myrciaria Dubia Fruit Extract, Mentha Rotundifolia Leaf Extract, Water (Carbonated Water), Tocopheryl Acetate, Polysorbate 20, Panthenol, Adenosine,1,2-Hexanediol, Propanediol, Caprylyl Glycol, lllicium Verum (Anise) Fruit Extract Chlorphenesin, Phenoxyethanol, Fragrance

Pore Mask:
Sodium Bicarbonate, Citric acid, Cellulose Gum, Vinyl, CaprolactamNP/Dimethylaminoethyl Methacrylate Copolymer,Vaccinium MyrtillusFruit /Leaf Extract SaccharumOfficinarum(SugarCane)Extract Acer Saccharum(SugarMaple) Extract, Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orange) Fruit Extract, Citrus Limon (Lemon) Fruit Extract Ascorbic acid, Onsen-Sui,Water

My experience:

A lot of people may think this is a strange product and I would agree with them. This mask is a 2-step program with gel and dry sheet mask that you apply over the gel. Despite the difficulties with application and 15 minute wait, this mask leaves me with the most smoothest baby skin. My 1 year old  baby is even jealous of it 🙂

The packaging on this mask is not too handy. In order to get to the step 1 you have to cut the sachet with the gel off and only then open it, otherwise it’s a one big jelly mess. The gel is transparent an has a slime-like consistency. It does stay put on the face which is remarkable. First time I used it I was afraid it will drip everywhere but no such thing happened. The gel smells a bit citrusy and the scent disappears in seconds after you apply it onto your face.

The step 2 is a 2-piece sheet mask made of thick paper that is not too bendy. You have to really press it onto the gel and that’s when the magic starts happening. The fit of the sheet is great. It could cover a much larger face than mine with no problem.

Ince the gel comes in contact with the sheet you hear crackling sounds and feel the tingling of your skin. It lasts for about 5 minutes on me and is then replaced by a slightly warm sensation. I can literally feel my pores opening up.

Another 10 minutes and I remove the paper sheet. You do have to wash of the excess gel. I typically do it wit a simple washcloth and warm water. It comes off quite easily and I am left with very clean skin. After patting the face dry leave your skin alone for 10-20 minutes. The pink tint will go away and you will feel whether your skin needs extra moisture layer or not.  With this mask I usually use only need to use the toner and  I can immediately apply my make-up over it.

Now to the best part. My make-up lasts me all day. Skin remains oil- and shine free. It’s velvety, baby smooth and plump. I call this mask “my pocket cosmetologist” because I do feel pampered after it. I tend to get stuck on one type of product for a while but I am making promise now that I will start getting out of my comfort zone and getting more different masks for reviews  so more bubble peeling products will be introduces to me and you, my reader.

Pros:

+ Contains niacinamide, adenosine and vitamine E
+ Unique in use
+ Amazing skin smoothing  and brightening results
+ Great base for make-up that needs to stay on for an entire day
+ Hydrating, peelung  yet gentle for the skin

Cons:
– Gel contains fragrance (last item on the list)

My experience:

The Time Revolution Night Repair Science Activator Ampoule is a wonderful product if your skin needs extra moisture. What stuns me the most is how good it is at calming the redness of my skin. My skin feels smooth to the touch and is very supple thanks to this wonderful ampoule.

A lot of people compare it to the Estée Lauder Advanced Night Repair Sychronized recovery complex II. I personally think that MISSHA’s creation is way better than  the one made by Estée Lauder. Virtually consistency and color wise they are identical. Ingredient wise MISSHA trumps the EL serum in trifold. That is also noticeable by my skin.

I apply this serum before going to bed. That way it stays put on my skin for several hours and when I wake up my skin is feeling and looking amazing!  I do notice a big difference when I sometimes skip it in my evening routine. I Sometimes mix it with my emulsion if it it very hot outside. That gives me a little bit more oomph for during the day and my skin doesn’t feel dry by the end of the day.

Overall this is an amazing skin care product and does wonders for my skin in terms of brightening and evening my skin tone, reducing redness, smoothing out the rough patches of skin that I sometimes get in the winter. On top of that it makes my skin as firm as it gets when you hit your 30’s. It is a total “love, love, love” product of mine. I do have one issue with it. The applicator pipette is smaller than in the EL serum and I need to use 1,5 pumps of this serum to cover my entire face. I would appreciate it a lot if the packaging would be updated.

Pros:
+ Better alternative for more expensive EL’s Advanced Night Repair serum
+ Paraben, sulfate and alcohol free formula
+ Contains skin brightening, anti-ageing, acne fighting, wound healing ingredients
+ Lovely consistency that spreads out evenly
+ Light pleasant natural fragrance

Cons:
– Pipette picks up little product, a bigger size would be nicer. A pump would be even better!
– Packaging looks outdated

Where to buy:
❇ NL and BE: missha.nl and  bbcreamshop.eu
❇ Internationally: Available at iHerb, misshaus, notino and many other webshops
❇ Price is 34,99€ per 50 ml bottle

Innisfree It’s real squeeze mask – Black Berry

Today I am reviewing the It’s real squeeze mask with the Black Berry by Innisfree. This sheet mask is very lovely and affordable option suitable for for the daily use.

Claims from the manufacturer:

❇ A mask made with freshly squeezed blackberry to make the skin firm and supple while reducing wrinkles.Get firm and elastic skin with the blackberry It’s real squeeze mask!
❇ The super food blackberry gives your skin protection to make it more healthy.
❇ Contains Jeju green complex. The Jeju green complex consists of green tea, tangerine, cactus, camellia leaves, and orchids to keep your skin healthy.
❇ Triple-layered sheet. This triple-layer sheet has a long-lasting moisturizing effect so that the essence can gradually be absorbed into the skin.

Directions from the manufacturer:

1. After washing your face, gently apply toner on your face to even out your skin texture.
2. Then, apply the mask over your entire face, avoiding your eye and lip areas.
3. Remove the mask after 10-20 minutes and gently pat your face to allow the remaining formula to absorb into your skin.

Ingredients:

Water, Glycerin, Butylene Glycol, Butylene Glycol, Citrus Paradisi (Grapefruit) Fruit Extract, Blackberry Juice(200mg), Polyglyceryl-3 Methylglucose Distearate, Glyceryl Stearate, Dimethicone, PEG-100 Stearate, Carbomer, Xanthan Gum, Ethylhexylglycerin, Potassium Hydroxide, Adenosine, Sodium Hyaluronate, Tangerine Peel Extract, Orchid Extract, The green Tea Extract, Camellia Leaf Extract, Prickly Pear Extract, Disodium EDTA, Phenoxyethanol, Fragrance

My experience:

I did like this mask a lot. Starting from it’s nice recognizable packaging and ending up with good results on my oily skin. It met it’s claims making my skin more firm and on the top of it it evened out my skin tone.

Once you open the packet you immediately smell the juicy berry scent which is not too strong but still lingers on your face while the mask is on. The sheet is made of thin cotton that is slightly rough to the touch. It is quite stretchy too.

I applied the Black Berry sheet onto my face and felt how nice and hydrating it was. The big downside of the sheet for me is the fit of this mask. I have quite prominent nose and no matter how I try to push it down around my nose, the sheet keeps lifting up. Even when  I wear my glasses over it it seems to have air around the nose bridge area. this time I was too lazy to cut it here and there so I just left it the way it is.

After full 15 minutes I took the mask off and was left with baby smooth skin that was very hydrated and looked brighter than before the application. The leftover essence was completely absorbed by my skin in less than a minute. I did enjoy the final results a lot and will be buying it again. The mask does what it promises and has an affordable price tag to it so why not use it more often.

Pros:
+ Affordable price
+ Nice berry scent
+ Hydrating and brightening on my skin
+ Paraben, alcohol and sulfate free formula
+ Suitable for oily and combination skin types

Cons:
– Sheet needs to be cut to fit  my face shape
– Contains fragrance
– May not be suitable for very sensitive skin
– Not an easy to buy product in EU webshops

Where to buy:
❇ NL: Not for sale in NL webshops
❇ Internationally: Available at innisfree website, amazon and yesstyle
❇ Price is +/- 1,50€ per mask
