Claims from the manufacturer:

The type Peeling Gel gently exfoliates skin removing dead cells and prepping skin for the sheet mask.
The Essence Toner Mask. This sheet mask is made with the same fabric used in Pyunkang Yul’s ⅓ Cotton Pad, which is designed to deliver products to skin more effectively than the traditional versions by soaking up the liquid product and then releasing it back when pressed onto skin.
The Essence Toner, made up of 91.3% milk vecht root extract, full of antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, nutrient-boosting properties.
The Balancing Gel seals in all the moisture and strengthens skin’s moisture barrier for long-lasting hydration.
Great for all skin types, especially those dealing with trouble-prone, imbalanced skin.

Directions from the manufacturer:

1. Spread Peeling Gel over wet skin and massage in a circular motion to remove dead skin cells and other impurities. Rinse well.
2. Apply Essence Toner Sheet Mask, adjusting around eyes and mouth. Enjoy 10-20 minutes of sheet masking.
3. Spread Balancing Gel, and then gently tap and press until gel is fully absorbed.

My experience:

I’ve tried out some samples from the Pyunkang Yul in the past and I am definitely going to invest into a bunch of the products I’ve sampled once I’m done testing the Whamisa line. I’m using it for the first time today and having it on my face while typing this review.

First of all, the ingredient list is the cleanest from what I have ever encountered. Well, 2nd cleanest after the IUNIK Beta-glucan serum that actually has only 1 ingredient in it, but I’ll brag about that wonder in one of the next posts. All three products presented in this 3-step mask are amazing and can be purchased on their own. I love how some brands make those extra ampoules, cleansers, peels e.t.c. available to the public in case your skin only agrees with one formula out of the three. In case of this particular trio, my skin loved them all and want some more.

All three steps are unscented but I can sometimes catch a hint of some plant scent. It is barely noticeable and disappears fast. The first step, peeling gel, has a light and watery texture to it. Once it touches the skin it feels very refreshing and cooling. I kept it on for 2 minutes and started rubbing my face to ball up all the gunk. After this step washing face is mandatory!

Step 2, the sheet mask, left me speechless. It is made of softest cotton and is quite fragile. Do not pull hard on the edges as you may tear the fabric. The amount of essence (classic brand toner) is enormous. I was afraid that the liquid will drip off my face but none of it happened. There is no scent to it, it is translucent and bouncy in it’s texture. The wearing time is somewhere between 20 and 30 minutes. After removing the mask it is still damp and I can still could squeeze out plenty of product. My skin is left super nourished and packed with moisture.

The remaining liquid absorbed very fast and I proceeded to the next step, the balancing gel. Oh what a surprise it was. The texture on this thing is a complete dupe of the J.One Jelly Pack. The main difference is that it is unscented and has a less priming (make-up gripping) finish to it. Yet the application and the way it lays over the skin for after first 10 minutes is identical. Do not try to drag the gel over your face, it will ball up and lay uneven on your skin. Instead, tap-tap-tap with your palms and let it absorb entirely.

What about the end results? Well, I am in love with this mask! Totally head over heels. I am left with moisturized radiant skin with zero tackiness. There are no irritants in any of the ingredients and I’ve already set 2 of the masks aside for my upcoming vacation. From the results I’ve got today, I am certain it will rescue my skin after first days in the sun. I’ve also placed a new order even though I was promising to myself that I will go on a no-buy till Christmas. They are totally worth it and I have a feeling that my holy grail hydrating mask from Mediheal has to share it’s status with this beauty.

Would I advise it? YES! to all of you with acne prone, irritated, red, dehydrated, sensitive skin. It will cool down the redness and hydrate your skin to the brim.
