MISSHA Black Ghassoul Peel Off Nose Pack

MISSHA Black Ghassoul Peel Off Nose Pack contains 50 grams of product and is one of the stronger peel off packs from the ones I’ve tried. It also has very thick consistency and a light wet ground scent to it. Very natural but odd for cosmetic products you put extremely close for your nose.

Claims from the manufacturer:

❇  Squeezing peel-off type nose pack cleaning pores by perfectly removing black heads and white heads with a benefit of Black Ghassoul, mysterious soil from Marocco.
❇ Black Ghassoul provides lots of important moisture with minerals and magnesium and leaves a fresh afterfeel.
❇ *Containing Ecocert certified Moroccan Ghassoul.

Directions from the manufacturer:

After washing your face, prepare the skin with toner. Apply an appropriate amount over the nose area and leave it for 15 minutes until completely dry, Peel off the mask from bottom to top at once.

Tip: More effective after using steamed towel. Before applying mask, apply small amount of moisturizing essence to minimize irritations on the skin.

Ingredients:

Water, Polyvinyl Alcohol, Alcohol Denat., PVP, Glycerin, Charcoal Powder, Iron Oxides CI77499, Butylene Glycol, Microcrystalline Cellulose, Trehalose, Titanium Dioxide CI77891, Sodium Magnesium Silicate, PEG-60 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Fomes Officinalis (Mushroom) Extract, Rhus Semialata Gall Extract, Hamamelis Virginiana (Witch Hazel) Water, Camellia Japonica Flower Extract, Methyl Acetate, Phenoxyethanol, Chlorphenesin, Salvia Officinalis (Sage) Leaf Extract, Sodium Acetate, Melissa Officinalis Leaf Extract, Arctium Majus Root Extract, Cinnamomum Zeylanicum Bark Extract, Sanguisorba Officinalis Root Extract, Pelargonium Graveolens Extract, Nelumbo Nucifera Flower Extract, Uncaria Gambir Extract, Mentha Piperita (Peppermint) Leaf Extract, Viscum Album (Mistletoe) Extract, Juniperus Communis Fruit Extract, Ethylhexylglycerin, Caprylyl Glycol, Fragrance, Disodium EDTA, Hypericum Perforatum Extract, Saponaria Officinalis Root Extract, Moroccan Lava Clay.

My experience:
consistency

When it comes to the pore cleansing peel-off masks I am pretty sure I have tried them all. This particular peel off product was a part of the set that I’ve bought and it came as a bonus to my main 2 items I was hunting down, the ghassoul cleansing bar and the ghassoul clay pack. So I thought why not to review them all at some point and today is the day for the Ghassoul Peel Off Nose Pack.

The tub contains 50 ml of product which is a lot for a local treatment. If you use it on an entire face (strongly not advised) you will run out of it quite fast. I usually use these type of peel offs only on my nose and when necessary on the forehead. Some people may apply these on the chin, but definitely do not attempt using it near the hair line or on sensitive areas. You will epilate your face! Ouch, ouch and more ouch!

applied

The consistency of this peel off mask is not droopy as other similar products. It is very thick and almost clay like. You have to apply it in a thin layer! Try to steam your face in advance so that your  pores are open. In that way this mask will grab onto the debris from your pores much better and the extraction will be less painful, especially if your skin is sensitive.

The thicker the layer-the longer the drying time. This mask definitely contains particles of the soil and it makes the drying time even longer. After 20 minutes of drying  everything comes off in 1 piece and it pulls out everything from my pores!!! I would not purchase this mask again simply because the scent of it is just not my cup of tea.

Summary:

Pros:
+ Paraben and Sulfate free formula
+ Contains a lot of herbal and mineral ingredients
+ Great adhesion power
+ Removes a lot of blackheads
+ Does not tug on the skin as much as similar peel-off masks
+ Economic in use

Cons:
– Contains alcohol (as any other peel off mask do)
– Contains fragrance
– Drying time is on a longer side

Where to buy:
❇ NL and BE: bbcreamshop.eu and missha.nl
❇ Internationally: Available at misshadeutchland, amazon, ebay and other online retailers
❇ Price is +/- 11€ per 50 ml tube when you purchase it outside the set

MIZON Apple Smoothie Peeling Gel

MIZON Apple Smoothie Peeling Gel is a decent product for it’s price. Beware though! It does contain several non-friendly ingredients so people who have a sensitive skin should stay away from it.

front
back
Claims from the manufacturer:

❇ This ultra-gentle exfoliating gel rids the skin of dead skin cells and dirt without harsh chemicals or skin-irritating microbeads. We see why this has received so much love in Korea.
❇ Natural papaya extract contains papain which “digests” dead and/or damaged skin tissue while leaving new, healthy tissue intact for incredibly easy and effective exfoliation
❇ Apple extract contains natural alpha hydroxy acids which further contributes to gentle exfoliation for smoother, brighter skin. Apple is also astringent, tightening pores and helping to clear acne-causing agents
❇ Citrus extracts brighten skin to make it clearer and more radiant

Directions from the manufacturer:

Use 2-3 times weekly. Wash face, dry face and leave the gel on for 1-2 minutes. Gently massage the gel on the face and then rinse off with lukewarm water. Concentrate the product on dry flakes and pores to buff skin to a smooth finish.

Ingredients:

Water, Cellulose, Butylene Glycol, Propylene Glycol, Alcohol, Polysorbate 20, Carbomer, Triethanolamine, Pyrus Malus (Apple) Fruit Extract, Glycolic Acid, Disodium EDTA, Vaccinium Myrtillus Fruit/Leaf Extract, Saccharum Officinarum (Sugar Cane) Extract, Citrus Limon (Lemon) Fruit Extract,  Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orange) Fruit Extract, Acer Saccharium (Sugar Maple) Extract, Sclerotium Gum, Carica Papaya (Papaya) Fruit Water, Sodium Hyaluronate, Gypsophila Paniculata Root Extract, PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Propylparaben, Methylparaben, Phenoxyethanol, Fragrance

My experience:
gel is very thick and has a pleasant scent to it

I’ve got a confession to make. I barely use my peeling creams and gels. I never had found one that would satisfy my nose and my wallet untill I’ve met the MIZON brand product. It is very comparable to the peeling gel from Secret Key but I’m not a big fan of it’s scent. MIZON apple fragrance (which is added into the product) is not strong and reminds me of juicy green apples. You only need a little of the product to cover up your entire face if you don’t exfoliate any other areas of your body. In my case, what you see on the picture is the amount for my face, neck, décolleté and elbows (yes, got rough skin the and this stuff works wonders on dry patches).

applied

As with every peeling gel, it is fairly simple in use. I like to leave it on for 5 minutes before actually starting to rub. Out f experience with other similar products, it loosens up the dead skin cells more productively and I don’t need to roll the gel around my face (and body) for too long. I tend to use this peeling right before I hop into the shower. In that way I don’t neet to meddle around my sink an can wash the product debris off within seconds.

The gel is very gentle and effective and meets it’s claims. My skin is left soft and supple after use. It doesn’t scream for moisture after I walk out of the shower. I proceed with my skin care and apply a toner and a hydrating mask afterwards to rebalance my skin. Is it the best of the bunch? Not really. I do prefer this one over other brand only due to the fact that it has a pleasant smell to it. For the rest, my MISSHA Super Aqua Oxygen Micro Visible Deep Cleanser peeling does a better job at nourishing and hydrating my skin.

Summary:

Pros:
+ Easy to buy nearly in every K-beauty store in NL and BE
+ Decent content:value ratio
+ Great non artificial apple scent
+ Liquid and easily spreadable consistency
+ Rich in anti-oxidants

Cons:
– Would prefer the product coming in the bottle with pump
– Contains alcohol, parabens and fragrance

Where to buy:
❇ NL and BE: coos-cosmetic.com and littlewonderland.nl
❇ Internationally: Available at peachandlily, iHerb, amazon and many other online stores
❇ Price is +/- 14€ per tube of 120 ml

MISA Cho Gong Jin Peel Off Pack

MISA is a separate line of care products designed by MISSHA. It  includes five series: Cho Gong Jin, Geum Sul, Cho Bo Yang, Yu Ryeo and Yei Hyun. Today’s review is about the famous Cho Gong Jin Peel Off Pack.

Claims from the manufacturer:

❇ Specially Formulated Peel Off Pack with Oriental Medicinal Ingredients:
Nourishes the skin and treats redness and inflammation
❇ Pulverized Oriental Medicinal Ingredients:
Herbal powders and honey eliminate dead skin cells and other impurities
❇ Tightening Effects:
Improves overall health and elasticity of skin, firming areas of sagging
❇ Recommended for:
– Those whose makeup does not apply well due to rough skin
– Those who want smooth, soft skin
– Those looking for a peel off type mask that removes impurities and dead skin cells
– Those looking to soothe red, inflamed skin

Directions from the manufacturer:

After cleansing and toning, apply an even layer of product onto skin, being careful to avoid contact with the eyes. After 20-30 minutes, or when the mask has dried, carefully peel off and wipe face with toner before continuing with skincare routine.

TIP: Apply an even layer of product to achieve peel off removal. In the event that you are unable to peel off the mask, use additional product for a thicker application.

Ingredients:

Water, Polyvinyl Alcohol, Ethanol, Polygonatum Officinale Rhizome/Root Extract, Butylene Glycol, Glycerin, PEG-32, Velvet Extract, Cornus Officinalis Fruit Extract, Paeonia Lactiflora Bark/Sap Extract, Panax Ginseng Powder, Saccharomyces/Coix Lacryma-Jobi Ma-Yuen Seed Ferment Filtrate, Thymus Vulgaris (Thyme ) Flower/Leaf Extract, Buddleja Davidii Extract, Astragalus Membranaceus Root Extract, Ganoderma Lucidum (Mushroom) Extract, Angelica Gigas Root Extract, Vitis Vinifera (Grape) Fruit Extract, Zanthoxylum Piperitum Fruit Extract, Polygonum Cuspidatum Root Extract, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract, Castanea Crenata Shell Extract, Coffea Arabica (Coffee) Seed Extract, Carthamus Tinctorius (Safflower) Flower Extract, Diospyros Kaki Leaf Extract, Acetyl Tyrosine, Paeonia Suffruticosa Root Extract, Pueraria Root Extract, Honey Extract, Panax Ginseng Root Extract, Poria Cocos Extract, Rehmannia Chinensis Root Extract, Gold, PEG-60 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Cellulose Gum, Allantoin, Panthenol, Sodium Hyaluronate, Sodium Magnesium Silicate, Disodium EDTA, Phenoxyethanol, Fragrance(Parfum)

My experience:

This specific mask is not harsh for your skin. In comparison to the black peel off masks that remove the dirt from the pores, this is thousand time better product. It is similar to a wax layer that is gentle to your skin and still manages to pull out a lot of dirt and grime off my face. It is packed with a lot of fermented herbal ingredients.  You can literally smell the ginseng and honey. The scent is very strong and earthy. A true luxury item in terms of ingredients.

I try to use it once a week and it does wonders to my oily skin. The consistency of it is a dark-brown goo with trillions of specks of dried herbs in it. It is semi-thick and spreads well over your face. I usually apply it with my fingers and wait for about 20 minutes for it to completely dry. Even a thin layer does a good job and it peels off with ease in 1 piece. I tried doing a thicker layer once but the drying time turned to be very long. When removing the mask there is no pulling or tugging on my baby hairs on the face which is very surprising considering the fact that this is a peel off pack. I think this is the first mask that I’ve tried that manages not to hurt my face in the removal process.

I prefer to use it before applying my make up. I removes the dead skin cells leaving me with much smoother and brighter skin. I wish it would come in the small mini-tube so that I could take it to vacations with me.  Oh, and the packaging on it is amazing. Thanks to the large cap it can be easily stored vertically on my vanity.

Pros:
+ Paraben, Sulfate and Alcohol free formula
+ Contins velvet and Honey extraxts
+ Bomb of herbal ingredients
+ Amazing texture and scent
+ Peels off in one piece
+ Doesn’t irritate the skin
+ Suitable for all skin types

Cons:
– Seems to be sold out a lot

Where to buy:
❇  NL and BE: bbcreamshop.eu, missha.nl and littlewonderland.nl
❇  Internationally: Available at misshaus, yesstyle and other online beauty stores

Homemade Modeling Mask (Rice) by MISSHA

Homemade Modeling Mask (Rice) by MISSHA is a DIY type mask that is fun to do. It leaves your skin soft, smooth and bright while cooling skin down and hydrating it.

Claims from the manufacturer:

❇ This mask is recommended for:
– Those who want to soothe irritated skin
– Those who want to brighten up and revitalize their dull complexion from exhaustion
– Those who want to use natural, good ingredients for their skin
– Those who want quick results from short term care

❇ With brightening benefit as if cleansed with rice water, It contains natural rice powder and vitamin C derivatives that help make dull skin clear and radiant.

Directions from the manufacturer:

Choose a powder you want from the selection you have available. Mix in the powder with the essence gel. Using the spatula, mix in the two products by stirring in one direction. Using the spatula, spread the mask evenly onto entire face. After 15-20 minutes, remove the hardened mask by lifting it from the bottom up. Finish up your basic skincare routine afterwards.

Ingredients:

Missha Homemade Modeling Mask Essence Gel:
Water, Glycerin, Methylpropanediol, Algin, 1,2-Hexanediol, Carrageenan, Tetrasodium Pyrophosphate, Citric Acid, Butylene Glycol, Ethylhexylglycerin, Disodium EDTA, Phenoxyethanol, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract, Ficus Carica (Fig) Fruit Extract, Centella Asiatica Extract.

Missha Homemade Modeling Mask Rice powder:
Glucose, Calcium Sulfate, Zea Mays (Corn) Starch, Oryza Sativa (Rice) Powder, Dextrin, Fragrance, P-Anisic Acid, 3-O-Ethyl Ascorbic Acid

My experience:

This is definitely not the first mask with this concept that I’ve tried in the past. There are several masks from Dr. Jart that work in a same way.

This MISSHA modeling mask comes in 2. parts: It has the active gel and a sachet that contains rice powder together with the other ingredients which make gel harden on your face.

The essence gel comes in a plastic capsule and contains 50 ml of the product which is a lot. It is enough to cover the entire face and what I found out later, was plenty to cover the neck area as well. I mixed the powder into the gel and stirred it well to make it one uniform mass. Since I didn’t have any spatula I just used plastic baby food spoon and it did work great for both mixing and application parts. Gel has a slight fragrance to it that disappears once the mask is applied onto the face.

The mixed goo is very runny in the beginning and tends to slide off the face. After application it looked like alien sneezed at me. I had to lay down for the hardening part that took about 20 minutes. If I would be standing up this entire time I would mask my decolleté as well.

After 20 minutes the mask was solidified feeling moist to the touch. It is hard to describe but it felt like a silicone layer that was giving off moisture if I pushed in it with my fingers. The mask came off in one piece and I was left with a freaky transparent sheet in my hands. It was fun to scare my husband with it.

My skin was left hydrated for an entire day. In terms of brightening it did even out my skin tone and reduced my pigmentation spots. There was no tacky or sticky feeling left on my skin after I removed the mask. Overall it is a very fun product to try out with your friends. The down side for me is that  took about half an hour of my time. I would not be able to play with these types of masks on a daily basis.

Pros:
+ Reducing pigmentation spots
+ Very hydrating long lasting effect
+ No tackiness on the skin after removal
+ Fun DIY mask
+ Paraben, sulfate and alcohol free formula
+ Nearly unnoticeable scent

Cons:
– Long process
– Droopy consistency at first
– Contains fragrance
– Lost my husband’s trust with this one 🙂

Where to buy:
❇ NL and BE: missha.nl and bbcreamshop.eu
❇ Internationally: Available at misshaus and ebay
❇ Price is 6,45€ per one mask

NATURE REPUBLIC Premium Foil Peel Off Pack

Since my hair turned silver with the magic of the hair dye, I will review something silver today. NATURE REPUBLIC Premium Foil Peel Off Pack is one of the most unique products in my masking arsenal and I like it quite a lot which is why it was a perfect product to put in today’s review.

Claims from the manufacturer:

❇ Inverted Formula & Tone Supply for Chrome Color
❇ Contains white flower ingredients: Provides vital skin

Directions from the manufacturer:

Apply an appropriate amount to the skin (apply at once)
After 20 minutes (dry), slowly pull it up from the bottom up.
Lightly clean skin with toner.

Ingredients:

Water, Polyvinyl Alcohol, Alcohol Denat., Bismuth Oxychloride, Polyvinyl Acetate, Ethylhexyl Hydroxystearate, Glycerin, 1,2-Hexanediol, Butylene Glycol, Propanediol, Caprylyl Glycol, Cellulose Gum, Pyrus Malus (Apple) Fruit Water, Hydrolyzed Collagen, Sea Water, Jasminum Officinale (Jasmine) Flower/Leaf Extract, Nelumbo Nucifera Germ Extract, Freesia Refracta Extract, Iris Versicolor Extract, Leontopodium Alpinum Flower/Leaf Extract, Lilium Candidum Bulb Extract, Narcissus Pseudo-Narcissus (Daffodil) Flower Extract, Rosa Damascena Flower Extract, Polyglutamic Acid, Sodium Hyaluronate, Xanthan Gum, Disodium EDTA, Phenoxyethanol, Fragrance

My experience:

The mask comes in a simple silver squeezy type of tube with very little writing on it. I like how minimalistic it is but yet again one thing bothers me with the packaging. The opening for the mask is so tiny and since the mask is quite thick in consistency, it it very hard to push it through that little hole. Nature Republic, if you’re reading this, please change the lid on this thing!!!!

The mask is looking pearly white when it comes out of the tube. It is opaque in color and “shines bright” (and the rest of the stuff that Rhianna is singing). Consistency is very creamy and thick, yet odd for a peel off mask. It is not stretchy and stringy at all. You’d apply it as a normal thick cream or vaseline and then it starts to harden up on your face what causes a slight color change and it turns into that film that you can easily remove after it’s completely dry.

It has quite strong fragrance to it. Ican’t identify any single individual note but the scent definitely belongs to the floral category. It is very relaxing spa-type fragrance that you can smell the entire time that the mask is on the face.

Even though the advised wear time is 20 minutes, mask is nearly entirely dry after 10. I usually remove it in around 10-12 minutes. It comes off in one peel and what I like a lot- it doesn’t pull hard on the skin. So no facial hair removal with this one, hence no red and irritated skin afterwards. Instead, I am left with smooth baby skin. I did notice that this mask has brightened my face after use as well. My face feels firmer and more hydrated, even though the hydration part is minimal. I did still need to apply my daily moisturizer afterwards.

Pros:
+ Paraben and sulfate free formula
+ Good for dry, normal, combination and oily skin types
+ Easy to peel of in almost one piece
+ A little goes a long way
+ Luxurious spa-like scent
+ Good size packaging
+ Great at smoothing and brightening the skin
+ Doesn’t feel too tight on the face

Cons:
– Contains alcohol and fragrance
– Not best mask for sensitive and super sensitive skin
– Hard to get within the EU webshops
– Bad, bad, bad cap that allows very little product to flow out

Where to buy:
❇ NL and BE: TKmaxx shops
❇ Internationally: Available at amazon, carousell, NRCanada websites
❇ Price varies between 16-24€ per 70 ml tube

MISSHA Pure Source Pocket Packs

For some time I was oogling at these pocket pack masks from the MISSHA brand. I really like the concept of having several types of masks in little pouches that last you for 2-3 times. For me it means that I can test several products out without spending a fortune on full-size items. As well as I am not stuck afterwards with a full jar of something I may potentially not like.

For a while these were sold out in NL online stores so I was waiting patiently until they got restocked. I purchased 8 types to try out out of which 5 were sleeping packs, 1 peel-off pack, 1 exfoliating pack and 1 clay pack. I grouped them according to the instructions on the packs. Directions from the manufacturer:
At the last step of the skincare after washing the face apply an appropriate amount over face. 20-30 minutes later after it dries out completely, peel it off.

My experience:
All of the masks are definitely worth trying. Each one of them preformed well on my skin, didn’t make me breakout or  stick to my sheets. For me, my personal top 3 from this range are the Lotus, Rice and Green Tea packs.

Lotus pocket pack got me after 1 use! My heart melted at how easy it was to remove off my face. There was no pull or burn on my skin as it happens sometimes with the pore strips or those black pore masks. On the contrary, My skin felt hydrated and soft after use. I did feel that it did strip the oil off my face, so I did moisturize my skin with essence after this mask.

Rice pocket mask is quite mild exfoliant for me. It had a pleasant, non-offensive smell to it and was easy to spread around my face. I would reach for it for sure on the days that my skin is more sensitive than normal.

Green tea sleeping pack performance was as moisturizing and hydrating as other masks. I picked it over the others because I really like the yummy smell of it. All of the sleeping masks I’ve bought are quite similar in their action so I would opt for choosing the one whom fragrance you like the most.

Clay mask was as effective as any other clay masks. It purified my skin, left it nice and oil-free. Smell of this one is quite good too. Was worth trying but I doubt I would repurchase this one again. I have too many clay masks that to better job at moisturizing my skin on top of doing what clay usually does.

Pros:
+ Affordable and  good quality products
+ Big variety to choose from
+ Nicely fragranced
+ Peel-off pack is not painful to remove
+ Exfoliator pack is very gentle, hence suitable for the sensitive skins
+ Perfect for 2-3 times use
+ Ideal for traveling due to the handy format of these
+ Resealable packaging which ensures that the content stays sanitary
+ Suitable for all the skin types

Cons:
– Sleeping packs are kind of all the same except the scent
– Clay pack is not standing out from the whole bunch
– Manufacturer’s description in English makes me very sad. For such a big company  as MISSHA they should not Google-translate the text that they put on the label

10 masking tips and tricks for the first-time mask users

I was thinking long and hard about what to write for you to start my blog with and that’s what I came up with. I know that people say you can’t go wrong with choosing a mask and I totally disagree with that statement. Everyone’s skin is different and you should try masks that are suitable for your skin type and not everything that is available in the store for grabs. This post will come in handy for those who are finding themselves in the beginning of the yellow brick road leading to the wonderful city of masking.

1. Learn what your skin is like

First of all if you don’t know what your skin type is, do some research or go to a cosmetologist for a consultation, they will be most helpful to you in identifying your skin type. Just a hint, there are 4 types to chose from: oily, dry, combination and normal skin. For example if your skin is very oily, choose for kaolin(clay) based masks as it will draw the excess sebum out of your pores.

2. Medical conditions, anyone?

Take into consideration the complexion of your skin as well as any existing medical conditions such as acne prone skin, sensitive skin, hyper-pigmentation, eczema, rosacea e.t.c. Any type of these are going to need a special care.

 3. Buy things suitable for your skin type for the better effect

Look for products that meet the goals you want to achieve based on what your skin needs for the time being. If you want to reduce oiliness of the skin, look for masks that are made specifically for this situation. For example if your skin is oily and you want to reduce/control the oil, applying mask that claims that it will make your face shine like a disco-ball won’t do you any good.

4. “This mask will transform you into a queen” ?!?!?!?

Read the claims on the package and don’t expect miracles. If mask tells you it reduces the texture, you shouldn’t be expecting the effects of a chemical peel. If it was possible, lots of people would not undergo the ridiculously painful procedures.

5. “Let’s see what you’re made of…”

Take a careful look at the ingredient list of the product you intend to buy. You don’t have to be a chemist to understand what you see. Use existing websites that analyze cosmetics and provide you with detailed information on what certain ingredient is and for what skin type/condition it is meant to be in the product. My favorite two websites for the in depth analysis are:

www.cosdna.com/eng/ingredients.php

and

6. Prep and prime:

Always clean your face before you apply any of the masks. Debris from polluted air, sebum, bacteria and so on are sealed under the mask and pushed into your pores leading to some bad-ass breakouts. Always moisturise your face before you apply a sheet mask, your skin will absorb the essence better.

7. “Eew, did it go bad?”

Do not forget to use clean tools to ensure that all potted masks you own remain as fresh as they can. Also look at the “use by” dates and don’t neglect these as many of the ingredients tend to deteriorate overtime causing changing mask’s consistency and more.

8. Follow the instructions on the packaging

Do not exceed the application time. With clay masks you may over-dry your face so your skin may get some damage from the mask pulling and tugging on it. Same with the sheet masks. Up to a point they are hydrating. If you keep it on till it’s completely dry (maybe you fell asleep?), the effects of hydration would be minimal if not the opposite. One of the coming day’s I’ll show you what I mean in vivo, sacrificing my face to the blog-science. Also do not rinse out sheet masks unless it is specified on the package.

9. “Higher price automatically equals best quality?”

In a lot of the cases the price tag is not representing the actual quality of the product itself and quality of the ingredients used. I’ve tried expensive, I’ve tried cheap, I’ve tried middle-class prices. To be honest, some of my most favorite masks come from the cheap range. No price tag is indicative of quality, when it comes to face masks.

10. “This mask ruined my life and my sheets!!!”

Sleeping packs(masks) are not going to ruin your bed sheets. Most of there are just an extra hydrating/calming version of a cream. I personally see sleeping packs as a booster for the night and I do them when I need to look well rested before any important occasions. I also reach for those in case my skin is destroyed by aircraft airconditioning. Seriously though, every time after a flight my skin feels and looks lie a prune…

I thing that is it for now. If I remember something else I wish I would have known before buying face masks (and other skin products) I will add it here later. For now thank you for reading and may the Mask be with you 🙂

Yours truly, Kati 🙂
